Politicians are always talking about how bad American education is or what number it ranks in the world. But despite what they say, America still offers some of the best schooling options in the world, especially when it comes to boarding prep or military schools. 

The reason these options have become extremely popular to parents outside of the country is that the United States is an extremely safe option for foreign students. It has a very strong law enforcement infrastructure. There is essentially no risk of harm by way of criminal violence. Plus, many boarding schools are in small towns where crime is very low and citizens are vigilant. 

Military schools (especially) have become quite popular and regularly see students from Asian countries, Middle Eastern countries, and South American countries alike. Parents want their students to learn fluent English and have a regimented environment where they are taught to clean up after themselves and can earn leadership roles. 

About 70,000 foreign students are enrolled in American high schools every year. Their parents pay the cost for them to travel all the way to the USA and to attend school. Many times, these schools are boarding in nature and can be quite expensive. This is why it is imperative that parents ask for any sort of financial aid or assistance at the outset. 

Countries like Dubai, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar have been sending more and more of their students to boarding and military schools in the United States. These countries are very wealthy and desire to instill in their student a sense of honor and discipline. America is very forward and liberal as far as equal rights for students and adults. It routinely ranks near the top in these categories. 

Remember, you only get one shot at raising your child. It’s a good idea to teach them survival and leadership skills in their teens, otherwise they may never learn them.
